Public urged to report sightings of 'dangerous' man avoiding police

The public are being urged to report sightings of a "dangerous" man who police say is deliberately avoiding them.

Officers are looking for Francis Veevors, 43, who has an arrest warrant for breaching the conditions of his home detention.

The man, who is "actively avoiding police", is believed to be in the Auckland region.

"Veevors is considered dangerous and should not be approached," police said.

They urged anyone who may have seen the man to call 111.
