Person dies in two-vehicle crash on Great Barrier Island

A person has died following a two-vehicle crash on Aotea / Great Barrier Island this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene at the intersection of Mulberry Grove and Shoal Bay roads around 12.20pm, police said.

One person was found dead at the scene.

No one else was injured in the collision.

The serious crash unit is carrying out a scene examination.
