An Auckland Lotto player will be $5.5 million richer after winning last night's Powerball draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Whitcoulls in Glenfield.

The prize was made up of $5 million from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division.

Meanwhile, a player from Marlborough won $500,000 in the first division, while another from Wellington won $700,000 with Strike Four. Both tickets were bought on MyLotto.

"Anyone who bought their ticket from Whitcoulls Glenfield or on MyLotto should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto App," a Lotto spokesperson said.

Last night's winner is the 10th multi-million dollar win this year and comes a week after a New Plymouth player won $14.3 million.
