All Blacks v Australia: What you need to know

The All Blacks prepare to face Australia in last year's Bledisloe Cup Test.

The All Blacks return to Eden Park tonight for a high-stakes Bledisloe Cup clash against Australia, with kick-off set for 5.05pm.

It is the final home test of the Rugby Championship and the first of two trans-Tasman battles that will decide the fate of the Cup.

After a bruising 43-10 defeat to the Springboks in Wellington earlier this month, the pressure is on for Scott Robertson's men to respond.

1News will have live updates on the Test from 4pm.

Australia has not beaten New Zealand at Eden Park since 1986 and the All Blacks’ 51-Test unbeaten streak at their fortress is well known. Australia has also not held the Bledisloe Cup in 22 years.

Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt said he believed the All Blacks would draw on their Eden Park record to be more "focused, connected and combative".

Veteran prop James Slipper was also expected to play his 150th Test in the green and gold, joining Welshman Alun Wyn Jones and Kiwi Sam Whitelock to become just the third player to reach the milestone.

All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson said the side had "everything to play for" in the final two rounds.

"We are preparing for a strong Australian side and understand the importance of this match and the Bledisloe Cup. There is a lot to play for on Saturday evening."

Skipper Scott Barrett has been ruled out with a shoulder injury, handing the captaincy to Ardie Savea, who starts at openside flanker.

Wallace Sititi lines up at No.8 and Simon Parker at blindside. Will Jordan shifts to fullback, Caleb Clarke returns on the left wing, and Leroy Carter starts on the right.

Cam Roigard and Codie Taylor start in the spine, while Billy Proctor retains his midfield spot alongside Jordie Barrett.

Travel and match-day info

Gates open at Eden Park at 1.45pm alongside the Fan Zone, offering food trucks, bars, and live music. Special event buses will run from the City Centre, North Shore, and Eastern Suburbs from 2pm, while rail upgrades may cause some delays for passengers.

But make sure to bring a raincoat, with MetService forecasting showers to move across the city this afternoon and evening.

Fans going west should head to Morningside station and Waitematā-bound patrons should head to Kingsland. Travel on buses and trains is included in the match ticket.

Both teams enter Saturday's match with two wins and two losses, making this a pivotal Test in the race to the Rugby Championship title.

The Wallabies currently lead the Rugby Championship with 11 points. The Springboks and All Blacks were on 10 points, and the Pumas on nine points in the penultimate round.
