Nga Wai Hono i te Po became the new Māori Queen in a traditional ceremony known as Te Whakawahinga, or "the raising up", in the hours before today’s funeral service for Kīngi Tuheitia.
Kuīni Nga Wai Hono i te Po, 27, is the only daughter and the youngest child of Kīngi Tuheitia and Makau Ariki Atawhai.

This was the reality for one set of Auckland tenants, who have just been paid $5000 from their landlord after an order from the Tenancy Tribunal.
It found the landlord had failed to maintain the five-bedroom home property in Kohimarama.
