A Kiwi tourist has died in Thailand after reportedly falling from a seventh-floor hotel balcony.
Local media said Akuhata Edward Robert Hammond, 36, fell to his death from the hotel in Pattaya on Friday, August 30 (local time).

The man who was fatally shot in Auckland's Onehunga over the weekend has been named by police.
Emergency services were first notified of the incident on Selwyn Rd at 9.45pm.
A 32-year-old man has ben charged with murder over the alleged killing.
3 'Vandalism' causes internet outage in parts of Auckland, Chorus says
An internet outage has hit parts of Auckland.
According to the Chorus outages map, customers have reported being impacted in Māngere, Onehunga and Te Papapa.
The map showed multiple suburbs affected where the status remained "under action".
