Police are investigating after a house in Auckland's Ōtara was reportedly shot at last night.
Officers remain at the scene after emergency services responded to "reports of a firearm being discharged towards an address" on East Tāmaki Rd at around 7.47pm.
Police said officers were continuing to investigate the "firearms incident" this morning.
"Thankfully, no injuries have been reported in relation to this matter."
Officers with large rifles and a police car could be seen stationed outside the house earlier today, with an apparent bullet hole visible in a window, the NZ Herald reports.
"Police inquiries will continue today and the Ōtara community can expect to see an increased police presence in the area. We encourage anyone else who was in the area or has information to assist who has not yet spoken to us, to please get in touch."
There have been a string of shootings in Auckland this year, where shots have been fired at people's homes — including an incident in Māngere last week.
Anyone with information about last night's shooting has been urged to call 105 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
