DNA testing has confirmed a newborn found abandoned in a London park is the sibling of two other babies left in similar circumstances.
The baby girl, named Elsa, was discovered by a dog walker in Newham in January.
She was wrapped in a towel inside a reuseable shopping bag and it's thought she was less than an hour old, Sky News reported.
Those that found her were hailed for saving her life by wrapping her in blankets until medical help arrived.
It's now been revealed Elsa has two older siblings that were abandoned in similar circumstances.
In January 2019 Roman was found in a play area, also in Newham, in freezing conditions, while Harry was discovered in Plaistow in September 2017.
The two older siblings have been adopted while due the the ongoing investigation, Elsa's birth hasn't been registered yet and a decision on her care hasn't been made.
"The abandonment of a baby in this country is a very, very unusual event and there are years where there are no children abandoned, and because of that it is the story of the abandoning of a child that is of public interest," Judge Carol Atkinson was reported as saying by the PA news agency.
"It is for the same reason, in our current society, of enormous interest and importance that people know that there is a mother and father out there who felt the need to relinquish their children in this way, three times, and that is of considerable interest, it seems to me."
The names of the babies have all since been changed.
