Joseph Parker has called out former foe Dillian Whyte for a rematch in an unconventional way - a cover of a song by Take That.
The Kiwi heavyweight re-enacted the British boyband's 1995 hit Back For Good in a video shared to social media with a message for the Brit: "I want you back for good Dillian Whyte. If not, I'm moving on."
The clip has amassed over one million views and has been lauded by fans, with one calling it the "best call-out ever".
"Brilliant uso," said another.
Parker sings along to apt lines like: "Got a fist of pure emotion, Got a head of shattered dreams. Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now."
The video is intercut with clips of the fight between Parker and Whyte in London.
Whyte was the victor in a controversial contest in 2018, winning via unanimous decision. However, Whyte was the beneficiary of some friendly officiating - Parker was knocked down twice during the fight but the first one came via a headbut which was either not seen or ignored by the referee.
Despite that, Parker rallied and put Whyte down in the 12th and final round, only to run out of time.
It was salt in the wound for Parker, who had lost his WBO title to Anthony Joshua just three months earlier.
It's not new for Parker to create social media content like this.
During the Covid-19 lockdowns, Parker recruited fellow boxer Tyson Fury, promoter Eddie Hearn, ring announcer Michael Buffer and All Blacks player Ardie Savea to recreate a scene from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Parker is currently on a five-fight winning streak after beating both former WBC world champion Deontay Wilder and Zhilei 'Big Bang' Zhang in Saudi Arabia.
He is due to fight Zhang in a rematch but told 1News recently that he didn't think the Saudi money-men - boxing's new powerbrokers - would want to see that contest again.
Whyte is a possibility - and the build-up would likely be entertaining if Parker's latest video is any indication. Joshua or Joe Joyce rematches are other possibilities.
