Watch: How to pull off the perfect mana wave

Kiwi road workers have been spreading some much-needed cheer to motorists struggling with congestion along many east coast highways this Easter as they greet them with a mana wave.

The greeting went viral in a TikTok posted by Bay Traffic Management worker Raana Te Hau earlier this year.

One video showing off his smooth moves has racked up over 500,000 views so far.

So, what's the secret to perfecting a mana wave?

1News reporter Henry McMullan went along to find out in the video above.
