An Australian mother holding a toddler screamed so loudly she sent two terrified home invaders stumbling away.
The incident took place on Tuesday when two men clad in balaclavas burst into the Brisbane woman’s home, 9News reports.
Security cameras captured the woman screaming: "Get the f*** out, get the f*** out now", as she held her toddler.
The footage showed the two invaders scrambling away, stumbling, and falling over as the woman screams.
"I don't know if I've ever screamed like I screamed yesterday," she told 9News.
"You almost forget that you've got the toddler in your arms, and you instinctively go to almost run at them."
Two days earlier, the men had scoped the home out disguised as tradies.
"They clearly had a noteboard or a clipboard and were taking extensive notes — kept looking up at our house and making some more notes," the woman said.
According to local police, the men had hit multiple areas across Brisbane within a two-hour period.
The men armed with an axe and crowbar were also caught on camera trying to break into a home where a grandmother was looking after her 3-year-old granddaughter.
One of the other victims said: "This is the fourth attempt that people have tried to break into our home in the past year.
"My voice is shaking right now. It's really scary stuff. You're at home in your own place in broad daylight, and all you want to do is protect your kids."
Police said the alleged invaders were “well known” to them and were out on bail during the robberies.
