Ed Sheeran fans have been treated to "the multiverse event nobody expected" after the star sang in Punjabi during a show in India over the weekend.
During the Mumbai show, the Shape of You hitmaker brought Diljit Dosanjh on stage to sing Dosanjh's single Lover.
Sheeran later posted a video of the surprise moment on social media.
"Got to bring out @diljitdosanjh tonight in Mumbai and sing in Punjabi for the first time. I’ve had such an incredible time in India, more to come!" he wrote.
Fans were quick to praise the unexpected collaboration online.
"The crossover we weren’t expecting," one wrote.
"I was standing in the audience shrieking like a fangirl. This was the multiverse event nobody expected," another added.
One fan said of Dosanjh, "This is truly unreal. I have never seen an artist peak so big. The whole world is dying to collaborate with our legend at this point and we're blessed to call him our own".
