Casually slinging a surfboard bag over his shoulder, the man — who has allegedly shot two men in cold blood just hours before — saunters out of a sports store in the Sydney suburb of Miranda.
New CCTV vision, obtained exclusively by 9News, shows the moment accused murder, Beau Lamarre-Condon, purchased surfboard bags to allegedly dispose of Luke Davies and Jesse Baird's bodies.
The constable is accused of killing the Sydney couple in their Paddington home.
The vision shows Lamarre-Condon buying surfboard bags with an acquaintance. The first piece of CCTV shows the constable purchasing the first bag, which police will allege was intended for the body of his ex-partner Jesse Baird.
A second piece of footage shows Lamarre-Condon coming back to the same store for a second time — allegedly three hours after he killed the couple — two days later. He is accused of killing the couple with his police-issued firearm.
Assistant Commissioner Michael Fitzgerald claimed Baird's murder was planned and targeted, but that Davies was only killed because he was at his partner's Paddington house at the same time.
9News also obtained new vision showing a man in a black cap pulling up in a black SUV on the morning the couple were allegedly killed. Police will allege this was Lamarre-Condon.
About 25 metres from Baird's terrace, the man gets out and then drives away at 9am, about 50 minutes before the two young men were allegedly gunned down with his police-issued pistol.
Police will allege the senior officer returned to the house the following day in a rented van he used to move the bodies.
It wasn't until Tuesday that those bodies were found near the rural town of Bungonia, two hours away from Sydney.
Police say Lamarre-Condon only revealed the location of the bodies after receiving legal advice from new legal counsel on Tuesday. The alleged murders drew a map for detectives.
He has been charged with two counts of murder and was being detained at Silverwater prison.
