The Prime Minister's Electorate Office has been vandalised in Auckland overnight.

Footage from the scene shows red paint splashed over the building and a moustache drawn on Christopher Luxon's face.

"FREE PALESTINE" can be seen written in black paint next to Luxon's photo.

A spokesman for Christopher Luxon said "This repeated vandalism is extremely disappointing and distressing for staff.

"Police have been notified."

In a statement to 1News, police confirmed they were making inquiries into the incident. They said they were alerted to an incident on Millhouse Drive, around 10.45pm.

"Our enquiries are now in the early stages to determine the full circumstances.

"We ask anyone with information or footage to please contact Police."

Luxon's Botany office was also vandalised in November last year. His office, alongside those of other MPs, were doused in red paint by activist group Tāmaki for Palestine.

Police are investigating the damage.

Earlier this month, Luxon said he was "gravely concerned" by reports of Israel's planned military operation in Gaza's Rafah, claiming any such move would be "catastrophic".

In a joint statement with Australia and Canada prime ministers Anthony Albanese and Justin Trudeau, Luxon urged Israel not to launch the offensive and instead engage in an immediate humanitarian ceasefire.
