One dead after two-vehicle crash in Waipā District

One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Waipā District last night.

Police said in a statement they were called to the scene on Kakaramea Rd in Ngāhinapōuri just before 10pm yesterday.

"One person received critical injuries and died at the scene."

A second person was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The Serious Crash Unit had completed a scene examination, and inquiries into the circumstances of the crash were ongoing.
