Police said it's “not ruling out” further arrests or charges as investigations into the death of a man in West Auckland yesterday morning continue.
A scene guard remains in place at the Royal Reserve Park on Beauchamp Drive after the man was found dead in the early hours of the morning.
The park remains closed to the public.
Police were notified of the man's death around 12.10am. When they arrived, he was “unresponsive” and pronounced dead at the scene.

A 26-year-old man was charged with murder yesterday, and police “are not ruling out further arrests or charges”.
“Our investigation teams have worked hard to reach this point,” detective inspector Alan Proctor said.
“While an arrest has been made, there are still a number of inquiries yet to be completed.”

A post-mortem of the victim was expected to take place this morning, and an “increased police presence will remain in the area".
Police are now asking for the public's help, wanting to hear from anyone in the Royal Reserve park or the wider area, including in and around Reverie Place on Sunday night between 11.30pm and just after midnight.
Anyone with information can call them via 105.
