An Ohio attorney has been suspended by the state’s Supreme Court after he defecated into a Pringles can before throwing it into the carpark of a victim advocacy centre.
It’s not the first-time defence attorney Jack A Blakeslee had pulled the prank, with the Cincinnati Enquirer reporting he claimed to have done it 10 times in the past.
In his appeal, Blakeslee claimed he had a “habit” of unloading his bowels into the cylindrical canisters and throwing them out of his car window — he insisted he wasn’t trying to target anyone.
The court didn’t believe him and said he intentionally chose the Haven of Hope as his “drop zone” back in 2021.
He had been a practising lawyer since 1976, and had never had disciplinary charges levelled against him.
Staff at the crime victim advocacy centre caught him on CCTV.
He was scheduled to meet with advocates from the centre at court 15 minutes before his “prank”.
He was representing a murder accused at the time.
After deliberations, the court suspended Blakeslee from practising law for one year, with six months of the suspension stayed.
It is unknown what Pringles flavour can he used.
