Students at Harvard University can now fill a 'blank space' on their class timetable, as one of the biggest global pop stars will soon be studied at the world's most prestigious university.
Harvard has joined the growing list of universities worldwide to offer a Taylor Swift-inspired course.
The "Taylor Swift and Her World" course will be offered by the English Department for the first time in the coming semester, giving students an opportunity to dive deeper into the stars' 17-year career.
It's taught by self-proclaimed "diehard swiftie" and Harvard English professor Stephanie Burt.
According to the university’s website, students will earn college credit through learning about Swift’s “lyrics, music, and influence, dissecting her catalogue and reading a host of authors Burt finds relevant to understanding Swift’s artistry”.
Other universities have offered 'deep dive' courses into the pop stars discography, including Stanford and Ghent University in Belgium.
