A group of Australian teenagers are lucky to be alive after a tree pierced the windscreen of their car, going straight through the middle of the front passenger seat headrest.
The group were on K'gari (formerly Fraser Island, off the Queensland coast) for Schoolies, a week of celebration for high school students to mark their final year.
The friends were exploring the island in the car when they collided with the branch. Astonishingly, no one was injured, despite a teenage girl being in the front passenger seat at the time.
Red Frogs volunteers, a charity that send 1500 volunteers to locations around Australia for Schoolies, waited with the group until emergency services arrived.

Madhill Motor Group, who donated the ute Red Frogs were using, posted to Facebook saying they were "so glad" no one was hurt.
"A great reminder to always be aware of your surroundings as freak accidents like this can happen to anyone."
