One person has died following a house fire in Dunedin this morning.
Police said emergency services responded to the incident at around 9.20am.
A spokesperson said the fire was at a residence on Highcliff Rd in Andersons Bay.
There are currently road closures in the area and people are warned to expect delays.
Police and Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) are still trying to determine the circumstances of the fire.
It comes after a house fire on Phillips St in Dunedin last week.
Photos showed the property completely engulfed in flames, with large plumes of black smoke pouring from the house.
One eyewitness told 1News he could feel the heat of the blaze in his car which was 400 metres from the scene.
