A homicide investigation has been launched and a man has been charged after the death of a woman in Auckland earlier this month.
Sergeant Mike Hayward said investigations have been ongoing after an incident in Auckland on Monday October 16.
He said a woman was found injured on Mckenzie Rd in Māngere.
The 28-year-old woman was taken to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition, but died from her injuries on October 18.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was initially charged with assault on a person in a family relationship.

He will reappear in Manukau District Court on November 8 where further charges are expected to be laid.
