A man is in critical condition following an alleged “serious assault” in Invercargill this morning.
Police were called to a private address on Dunns Road in Otatara at around 7am, after reports he had been stabbed.
The man was flown to Dunedin Hospital and is in critical condition.
“A 23-year-old woman was taken into custody and has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm,” police said.
A scene guard is currently in place and is expected to remain there until tomorrow while examinations wrap up.
