An Auckland man has been arrested in Nelson after he disembarked a flight in possession of crystalline powder, believed to be methamphetamine.
The man had left Auckland and arrived in Nelson around 10pm, with police understanding the drug was meant to be sold in the Tasman area.
Detective Inspector Lex Bruning said: "Police are committed to investigating individuals who cause harm to the community through the distribution of controlled drugs.
"Police will continue to disrupt this criminal activity and hold those involved to account."
The 38-year-old man has been charged with possession for supply of the drug and is due to appear in Nelson District Court today.
