Further tragedy has struck Fiji's Rugby World Cup squad, with the father of hooker Sam Matavesi dying in the UK.
It comes after the recent death of Josua Tuisova's seven-year-old son after a long illness.
Tuivosa decided to stay with the squad and miss the funeral.
Now, Fiji, who play England in the quarterfinals on Monday, have another player suffering off-field grief.
Sireli Matavesi lived in Cornwall, having toured as a Fiji Barbarian in 1987, The Guardian reports.
All three of his sons played professional rugby, with Sam and Josh representing Fiji.
"We would like to send our condolences to Sam and the family," said Seremaia Bai, Fiji’s kicking coach.
"He's one of our senior leaders and we'll see in a couple of days if he is going to join us."
Sam had rushed to the UK to be with his family.
"For us in Fiji family is everything. If one suffers, we all emotionally suffer. We know every player's family comes from humble beginnings so we make sure they have the care and love they need. It's a very tough moment… we need to stay together for one another."
