One person has died after being hit by a vehicle at a workplace in Palmerston North.

Police were called around 4.10pm to Tremaine Avenue after a person was hit by a vehicle.

The person died at the scene.

WorkSafe and the serious crash unit have been advised and inquiries are ongoing.
