One dead after crash down bank at Abel Tasman National Park

One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash at Abel Tasman National Park.

Police were alerted to a vehicle down a bank off Totaranui Rd about 3pm yesterday, a spokesperson said.

"A person has been located deceased," police said.

"The Serious Crash Unit have been advised, and the vehicle is expected to be retrieved today.

"A scene guard is in place at the scene."
