Man charged with arson after fire lit at Wellington fire station

A man has been charged with arson after a fire was lit at a Wellington fire station earlier this month.

It comes as police arrested a 25-year-old after fires at the Central Fire Station at Oriental Bay and two Roxburgh Street addresses in Wellington in the early hours of June 21.

Police said the man is set to appear in the Wellington District Court on charges of arson, wilful damage, and aggravated robbery.
