SH2 reopens after fatal crash on Remutaka Hill

One person has died and another suffered serious injuries in a crash on Wellington's Remutaka Hill this morning.

The crash at 6.30am closed the State Highway 2 for much of the morning, leaving motorists with significant delays.

One person died at the scene, while another suffered serious injuries.

The road has now reopened.
