Fire crews attend sulphur dioxide gas leak at NIWA office

Fire crews are attending a sulphur dioxide gas leak at NIWA's Wellington headquarters.

Three specialist crews are on the scene at Evans Bay Parade.

NIWA confirmed all staff have been evacuated from the Brodie Building.

"Two staff have been taken to the medical centre as a precaution."

Wellington Free Ambulance were not needed at the scene.
