Two dead in Bay of Plenty single-vehicle crash

Two people have died in a single-vehicle crash this afternoon in Toatoa, Bay of Plenty.

Police said a passerby discovered the vehicle down a bank off State Highway 35, near Opape Road, at around 3.40pm.

Police earlier confirmed the serious crash unit would be investigating the scene.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
