One person has died following a two-car crash in Queenstown this afternoon.
Police say they were called to the scene on Crown Range Rd about 3.20pm.
One person died at the scene.
A second person has been taken to hospital with moderate injuries.
The road remains closed and is likely to be closed for much of the evening, police said.

Motorists are advised to take an alternate route, such as via Cromwell.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
