Emergency services are at the scene of a fatal single-vehicle crash in the Auckland suburb of Ardmore.

Police said Papakura-Clevedon Rd is closed and the serious crash unit will examine the scene.

Diversions are in place.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area if possible.
