A man has died following a workplace incident in Timaru this afternoon.

Police say they were called to the scene at Washdyke, Timaru, around 12.25pm.

Police confirmed a 23-year-old man died in the incident.

Investigations into the incident are continuing and WorkSafe has been notified.
