Person dies after being struck by train on Kapiti Coast

A person has died after being struck by a train on the Kapiti Coast on Friday morning.

Emergency services attended the scene near Whareroa Road, Paekakariki.

Police say the incident happened just before 10am.

After initially being closed, the road is again open to motorists.
