Person dies after car rolls into waterway in Southland

A person has died after their car rolled into a waterway off a Southland road today.

Emergency services were called to McDonald Road in Dipton West, near Break Neck Road, around 10am.

The person, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was found unresponsive and was unable to be revived.
