Two people dead after car rolls near Oamaru

Two people have died after a crash near Oamaru at 6.30pm on Tuesday.

Police said two people were critically injured after a car rolled on Ardgowan Road, between Homestead and Redcastle Roads.

Two helicopters were dispatched to the crash, but the two people died at the scene.

The scene is being examined and inquiries into the crash are ongoing.
