One person dead following SH1 crash near Picton

One person has died following a crash on State Highway 1 at Koromiko in Marlborough on Monday night.

Police say the single vehicle crash between Picton and Blenheim was reported shortly before 9pm.

One lane of the highway remains closed.

Police will be at the crash site on Tuesday morning for a scene examination.
