Person dies following crash between car and pedestrian in Tokoroa

One person has died following a crash between a car and pedestrian in Tokoroa last night.

The crash occurred on Main Road, on State Highway 1, just before midnight, police said.

The road has since been reopened.

A second pedestrian suffered moderate injuries.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are now underway.
