SBW, Toronto Wolfpack handed Super League hiding by St Helens

March 1, 2020

Sonny Bill Williams and the Toronto Wolfpack have been handed a humbling defeat in the UK Super League this morning, crashing to a 32-0 loss to St Helens in Warrington.

Already bottom of the Super League table without a win in 2020, the Wolfpack have been given another reminder of what life in the UK's top division will be like.

Tries to Jonny Lomax (2), James Bentley, Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook and Aaron Smith saw the Wolfpack humiliated at their adopted home stadium.

Meanwhile the loss was made all the worse for the Wolfpack, with former Warriors forward Bodene Thompson shown a red card towards the end of the second half.

The result sees the Wolfpack rooted to the bottom of the Super League, winless from their first five matches, two points behind 11th placed Hull Kingston Rovers.

The Wolfpack will continue to search for their maiden Super League victory, next week away to the Leeds Rhinos at Headingley.
