Man's body found floating in Porirua Harbour

A man's body has been found in Wellington's Porirua Harbour this morning. 

Police told 1 NEWS they were called at 10.30am after people had reported what they thought was a person floating in the harbour.

The body of the man was recovered by police at about 11.30am. 

The circumstances of the man's death are not yet known, but inquiries are currently underway to determine what happened.

Trains were temporarily stopped while police recovered the body. However, they have since resumed.
