Israel Adesanya’s UFC title fight with New Zealand-born Australian Robert Whitaker at UFC 243 on October 6 has been officially confirmed.
The pair will show off for the middleweight title at a venue that is yet to be decided, according to UFC boss Dana White.
"We're working on it, we're working on it, we have options," White said of potential venues.
"It could be in Australia," he said.
Adesanya won the UFC middleweight interim title after beating US rival Kelvin Gastelum via unanimous decision at UFC 236 in Atlanta in April.
That came two months after Whittaker pulled out of his title defence against Gastelum at UFC 234 with a hernia.
