Motorists to pay extra 4c at the pump from today as national fuel tax goes up

Motorists will be paying an extra 4 cents at the pump from today as the nationwide fuel tax goes up.

The price for petrol will go up by 3.5 cents, or around 4 cents when including GST.

It marks the second of three planned increases by the Government to be carried out over the next three years.

The first price hike was introduced last October.
