Football can give players and coaches the highest highs, the lowest lows, and everything weird and wonderful in between - just ask Eastern Suburbs coach Danny Hay.
Hay and his side won the national title over the weekend and joined TVNZ FC to speak about the triumph along with what's happening elsewhere in the world of football.
Hay told host Chris Chang and panellists Simon Plumb and Jack Mabire he was happy to see his young squad shine on a big stage.
"The players felt like they were in control the whole game.
"I thought every single one of our players played to their potential and showed what they were capable of."
The panel also discussed the dramas in the "maddest league in the world" - the English Championship - as well as the latest action in the tier above.
