The Highlanders will be without another All Black for this weekend's clash with the Hurricanes in Dunedin, having lost Waisake Naholo to a knee injury.

Already without halfback Aaron Smith due to an ankle injury, Naholo sustained a knee injury during training yesterday.

Scans have revealed a grade two medial collateral ligament injury, ruling the All Blacks winger out for up to six weeks.

No replacement has been named yet, as the Highlanders face the Hurricanes on Friday night, however 1 NEWS understands that former winger Patrick Osborne has returned to training with his former side.
