The Warriors aren't performing for captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, coach Stephen Kearney says, following their indifferent start to the 2019 season.
Having sat on top of the NRL ladder after an opening week win over the Bulldogs, the Warriors have come crashing back to earth with back to back losses over the Tigers and Sea Eagles.
What's more, the manner of defeats have seen serious question marks surrounding the Warriors, conceding 14 tries in their last two games.
However, the form of Tuivasa-Sheck - last year's Dally M medallist - has been nothing short of exemplary, leading from the front as the rest of the side struggles around him.
Speaking after the Warriors' training today, coach Kearney made it clear that the rest of the squad have to match the effort of their captain if they're to snap their current losing streak.
"Roger's one of those guys who's got a high performance level," Kearney said.
"It doesn't change a great deal for Roger.
"We're probably letting him down in certain other areas, and we plan to fix that this week."
The Warriors have a chance to bounce back from last weekend's 46-12 loss to Manly, taking on the Gold Coast Titans on Friday night.
