Police are still searching for missing Auckland student Guoquan Wu, and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
The 22-year-old, who is also known as Laurence Wu, has been missing for more than three weeks.
He was last seen about 1.40pm on March 10, on Sainsbury Road in St Lukes. His car was found two days later at Piha Beach car park following an extensive aerial and ground search.
Police released a CCTV still today which shows Mr Wu wearing long black/charcoal coloured pants, a grey plain t-shirt and a green jacket and possibly wearing white Adidas shoes, with black stripes, on the day he went missing.
"A number of police staff have been working tirelessly to locate Laurence, and multiple searches have been conducted in and around the Piha area by air and on foot," said Sergeant Tania Kingi of Auckland City Police. "We are doing everything we can to find him."
Police have been supported by the local surf lifesaving clubs, which have helped with searching, and volunteers have given their time freely. Police are also working closely with his family.
"As you can understand, his family are incredibly worried about him, and this has been a very trying time for them.
"They want to know what has happened to their son and we would like the public’s help, to help us give them answers."
Police are also looking to find Mr Wu's missing iPhone X, which data shows was last used in the Piha area, Ms Kingi said. "This may help us with our inquiries to locate him."
Anyone with information is urged to contact Sergeant Tania Kingi on 0211910895, or if you would like to speak to someone in Mandarin, please contact Justin Zeng on 0211910463.
