Canterbury DHB review underway into Christchurch Hospital's handling of mosque terror attacks

The Canterbury District Health Board has begun a formal review of its response to the shooting attacks.

The DHB says it's standard practice for hospitals to review their handling of all significant events.

Forty-eight survivors of the March 15 mosque attacks were treated at Christchurch Hospital.

All DHBs have mass casualty plans, but the Ministry of Health says the review will provide valuable recommendations to ensure the sector is well prepared to deal with similar incidents in the future.
