Burst gas main fuels flames at Hamilton house fire

A burst gas main fuelled flames as a blaze ripped through a Hamilton East home this morning.

Emergency services were called to the well-involved house fire on Te Aroha St shortly after 5am.

Four fire crews, as well as gas authorities, were at the scene.

There are no injuries or risk to neighbouring properties, but St John and police were advised.

The fire is now contained.
