A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Cobden, Greymouth.

Police say the victim was woman was in her 50s.

The crash was reported on Bright St at around 8:45pm last night.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was on Bright Street between 8:30pm and 8:45pm who may have seen the woman before the crash.
