Warriors forward Adam Blair is backing his teammate Issac Luke to return to form, after a mixed performance in their side’s 34-6 loss to the Wests Tigers last Sunday in Sydney.

The Warriors travel down to Christchurch this weekend to take on the winless Manly Sea Eagles.

Luke hadn't played any rugby league until Sunday since last year's NRL play-off match for the Warriors against the Penrith Panthers in September.

"He will be better again for the run, bit of game time under his belt. I don't know he was tired last week," said Blair.

"Bully [Luke] is a key part in our team, when we're playing well and Bully is playing well, the team seems to be winning games.

"It's mostly important again coming off last weekend's loss that we focus on ourselves and what we can control in our preparation, in our mindset - going out there and getting our jobs done."

The Warriors sit in eighth position on the NRL ladder with one win and one loss so far in the 2019 season.
